Dear Resident,

By way of an update regarding access of Wrencrest Dr. through Meadow Pointe II CDD (MPII CDD), please see the following points, sent on behalf of the Meadow Pointe III CDD (MPIII CDD) Board Chairman.

On February 7, 2020, the County Attorney’s office issued a stop work demand to MPII CDD and informed them that any construction or erection of a structure (whether of a gate, bollards, wall, etc.) requires application for, and issuance of, a building permit prior to the start of the construction. Furthermore, they stated that prior to issuance of any permit, they will also need to review for compliance with other Land Development Code provisions, and may require amendment of previously-approved site plans and/or other development approvals.

On February 13, 2020, MPIII’s District Counsel confirmed with the County Attorney’s office that the County’s position has not changed. The only authorized communications with respect to any change from the County’s position will ONLY come from the County Attorney’s office (and MPIII’s District Counsel will be copied on any such correspondence).

The Meadow Pointe III Board of supervisors will continue to follow up on this matter. We have reached out to MPII CDD for a combined meeting to work out this issue, like we have done in the past. We urge all MPIII CDD residents to not engage in any confrontations with MPII CDD staff, Board members or residents. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 6:30pm is our next regular CDD meeting. We will be discussing this issue then.

Sincerely,

Matthew E. Huber
